A Message to donors

Where are your donations going?

First and foremost I want to thank you for considering donating to B.A.S.I.C. Family Bonds. The impact we hope to have on families will only be possible because of the generosity of people like yourselves.

As a new organization, we want to open our doors ready to make that impact on families. However, before those doors can open we have to be prepared with all of the proper tools and resources to meet the needs we aim to fulfill. These tools and resources include, but are not limited to: camping, hiking, fishing and hunting supplies, safety equipment, and the hiring of qualified instructors to lead classes.

Now let me tell you about a couple of the courses that will be available through our Family Strengthening Outdoor Education Program once our doors are ready to open. The initial course will be our BASIC Outdoors Course. This 13 day course will be spread over a 5 week period. We will give parents skills in basic outdoors, basic first aid, wildlife recognition and conservation, fishing, and the most important part, child communication. After completion of our first course parents will be eligible to participate in our 13 day BASIC Hunting Course. By the end of this course parents will have met all the requirements to receive their hunting licenses. But we go even beyond that minimum requirement. To minimize the learning curve, they will also learn all the other skills and strategies needed to be successful hunters. These are just two examples of the elite courses our program will be offering.

The family unit has been breaking down slowly for more than a generation now. But we know that it can be rebuilt stronger than ever if the children of today receive the skills and build the confidence to do so. And the only way that happens is by strengthening todays family bonds. By donating today you are becoming a founding member of our organization. You’re helping to lay down the foundation for the next year when we are able to provide these life changing services.
